DETAILS:

Lecture:  Record lecture using VidGrid (instructions here). Recording options include webcam, webcam and screen, or just screen (e.g. PowerPoint).

Discussion:  Set up a discussion board inside your Canvas course page with a question or prompt for students to reply.  Ask students to reply to the prompt and to one another. Instructions and tips for setting up a discussion board can be found in Canvas 101.

Readings:  Post readings (that are in addition to Ares readings) on a folder on the Canvas course page.

OPTION 2: SYNCHRONOUS COURSE

DESCRIPTION:  Live lecture with live or follow up discussion and course work.

CONSIDERATIONS: All participants will need to be available at the scheduled time and have internet access.

DETAILS:

Discussion:  Have a live discussion inside the Zoom meeting or post the question or prompt in a Canvas discussion board and require students to respond both to the prompt and to one another. Instructions and tips for setting up a discussion board can be found in Canvas 101.

Readings:  Post readings (that are in addition to Ares readings) on a module on the Canvas course page.

Links/Other Media (optional):  Show during live Zoom meeting and/or post to Canvas page.

Assessments (optional):  Create quizzes or surveys using Canvas tools or have students upload a paper or journal entry to a Canvas Assignment.
